Our Core Privacy Guarantee to Couples

Your voice stays on your iPhone. Lovemaxx does not record, save, or upload what you say. The microphone is on only while you start a listening session. We do not see which apps you limit, what you do in other apps, or your messages. We do not sell your information or show ads.

1. Introduction

Lovemaxx ("we", "us", or "our") is a relationship and screen-time app for couples on iPhone (iOS 17 or later). What you say to each other, and how you spend time on your phone, is private.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use the Lovemaxx app and website (lovemaxx.app). Using Lovemaxx means you agree to these practices.

2. Your Voice Stays on Your iPhone

  • You start every session. The microphone is on only while you hold or tap the microphone control. Lovemaxx does not listen in the background.
  • Nothing you say is saved or sent. The app checks, on your iPhone, whether you said "I love you". That audio is not saved on your phone and is not sent to Lovemaxx or anyone else.
  • It is discarded right away. As soon as the check finishes, the audio is gone.

3. Apps You Choose to Limit

A Love can unlock apps you have chosen to limit, for 5 minutes at a time:

  • We do not see your app list. You pick those apps in the iPhone system picker. Lovemaxx does not receive their names or contents.
  • We do not see what you do in them. Lovemaxx cannot view your activity in other apps, the sites you visit, or who you message. The unlock timer runs on your iPhone.

4. Information We Collect

We keep only what the app needs to work for you and your partner:

  • Account: When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique account identifier and, if you choose to share it, your email address.
  • Profile: Your display name, mascot (Na or Ni), and current mood.
  • Couple: Which account is linked with yours, one-time invite links and codes used only to make that link, and the times each of you records a Love. Those times are what your shared streak is based on.
  • Subscription: Whether Lovemaxx Pro is active for your couple. Purchases are handled by the App Store.
  • Notifications: If you allow notifications, we keep what is needed to deliver them to your iPhone. Alerts to your partner show your display name and, for a Love, how many you sent. They never include a recording or transcript.
  • Product usage: A limited set of events, such as which setup step you reached, which sign-in option you used, whether a purchase succeeded, and how many Loves you send or minutes you unlock. These events can be tied to your account. They do not include your voice, name, email, mood, or anything you say.

5. Information We Never Collect

  • Audio recordings, voice samples, or transcripts of what you say.
  • Which apps you use, app names, or browsing history.
  • Your precise location.
  • Your contacts, address book, or photos.

6. How We Use Your Information

We use this information to:

  • Keep your private couple history and shared streak.
  • Give you and your partner access under one active subscription.
  • Send streak reminders and partner activity notifications, if you allow them.
  • Prevent misuse of invite links and codes.

7. Who Else Handles Your Information

We do not sell your information. A few providers help us run Lovemaxx:

  • Sign-in: Apple or Google, when you choose that option, confirms it is you.
  • Purchases: Apple processes App Store payments, and RevenueCat tells us whether Lovemaxx Pro is active.
  • Hosting: Supabase stores your account, profile, and couple history on encrypted servers in the United States so the app can stay in sync between you and your partner.
  • Notifications: Expo and Apple deliver the alerts you allow to your iPhone.
  • Usage statistics: PostHog helps us understand whether the app is working, using only the product events described above.

8. Leaving a Couple and Deleting Your Account

If a couple separates: When either partner leaves or removes the other, the couple ends immediately. The shared Love history, timestamps, and streak are permanently deleted. A later partner never sees history from an earlier relationship.

You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings, the subscription screen, or the screen where you create a Couple. That permanently deletes your account and profile. If you are in a Couple, that Couple ends and its shared Love history is permanently deleted. Your partner's account stays.

Deleting your account leaves an App Store subscription in place. Cancel that subscription in your Apple account settings.

If you no longer have the app installed, request deletion at lovemaxx.app/delete-account.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, including the European Union, the United Kingdom, and California, you can:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
  • Ask us to delete your personal information.
  • Object to or limit certain uses of your information.
  • Ask for a copy of your information in a portable format.

Email support@lovemaxx.app to make a request. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.

10. Security

Information sent between the app and Lovemaxx is encrypted. Information we store is encrypted. Access is limited to people who need it to operate the service.

11. Children

Lovemaxx is not for children under 13, or under 16 in the European Union. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a significant change, we will tell you in the app or update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Lovemaxx after an update means you accept the revised policy.
